Hushread is an RSS and news reader for iPhone, iPad, Android and the web. You pick what to follow: RSS and Atom feeds, websites without a feed, topics you name, subreddits, YouTube channels and public Facebook pages. Paste a link and Hushread finds the feed, or import an OPML file from another reader.
When several outlets cover the same event, Hushread groups their articles into one story with a day-by-day timeline, so you read the event once instead of seeing the same headline again and again. Duplicate and syndicated copies are collapsed. Trending ranks stories by how many publishers cover them, and a surge flag shows when coverage picks up fast.
Also included: push notifications when a source publishes, keyword and sentiment rules, folders, tags and search, a full-text reader with no ads, article narration and a daily audio briefing. AI writes the short quick take on articles and the titles of multi-outlet stories, and it can be switched off.
Free covers up to 5 sources. Pro is $14.99 a year for unlimited sources.
