HeroMachine is Flash based and the latest news is that the efforts to make an updated version have not worked out. The best can be done is to download the flash version and a flash player.

HeroMachine is currently Flash based and so will not work on most browsers. There is supposedly a java version in the works but little on the progress has been stated

What is HeroMachine?

Have you ever wished you could see the character you've imagined drawn out in perfect detail by a professional artist, but you just don't have the skill to do it yourself? Thanks to HeroMachine, now if you can imagine it, you can create it, absolutely free.

Due to the program being designed in Flash the current versions will stop working come 2021 Jan 1. There was an September 26, 2019 announcement (Flash Support is Ending but HeroMachine Is NOT!) regarding a non-Flash version of HeroMachine 3 in development (written Javascript and PHP) but a post January 12, 2021 (Flash End of Life and maybe HeroMachine as well) indicates things are not working out.

There is still an active HeroMachine community forum but the HeroMachine Application & Forum Support section is devoid of any updates regarding the Java based version.
