What is herdProtect?
herdProtect is a second line of defense malware scanning platform powered by 68 anti-malware engines in the cloud. Since no single anti-malware program is perfect 100% of the time, herdProtect utilizes a 'herd' of multiple engines to guarantee the widest coverage and the earliest possible detection. As a second line of defense anti-malware solution, herdProtect is designed to run with any existing anti-virus program already installed on a user's PC.

Comments and Reviews
Winja should do the job. It's basically a client for VirusTotal but can also perform scans. It's quite cool
HerdProtect has been Beta since before 2014 There are no legacy lists that I can find Most recent forum response was in 2014 No downloads available from the developer NOR Softpedia Softpedia lists Portable + Local editions ... both result in : 404 - File or directory not found Major Geeks have the installer but no portable version.
Feature "Scan and Remove" ... -- Remove has never been available . . . in a perpetual state of "soon" and Beta
I have been tracking this app since 2014 Looks like it is a very slow expiration and death DISCONTINUED is a very apt description

Tried to download this but the download button does not work. It says it is free but the only working link is the paypal donation link at the buttom. So much for free. I don,t mind paying for something that works but not like this.
They seem to have added an explanation, of sorts:
"We are currently not distributing herdProtect at this time, if you would like to be placed on the waiting list, please email us at download@herdProtect.com. We are looking to re-release the software in the coming weeks".
Oh, and just saw this comment (scroll down at link) from 2013: https://www.tenforums.com/antivirus-firewalls-system-security/89235-what-happened-herdprotect.html
Exact same quote.
Is four years long enough to say discontinued? I think so.
