What is Helico?
Helico is a native Bluesky client for iPhone, iPad and Mac, built with SwiftUI.
On iPad and Mac it offers a multi-column view: timelines, lists, searches and notifications can be pinned side by side, and auto-refresh can be paused and resumed per column so a column can be read without it scrolling away. On iPhone the interface is a single-column layout designed for one-handed use rather than a scaled-down version of the tablet UI.
Other features include direct messages, custom feed management, full support for Bluesky's moderation tools, multi-account support, ATProto OAuth sign-in, automatic removal of EXIF/GPS metadata from uploaded images, light and dark mode following the system setting, and iPad Split View and Slide Over.
Helico also supports services built on the AT Protocol beyond Bluesky itself, including standard.site and Skyblur.
The app is free to download. The free plan supports up to three columns; a Helico Premium subscription removes the column limit. Premium is available as a monthly or annual subscription (US$12.99/year), with a 7-day free trial on the annual plan.
Requires iOS 18.1 or later, iPadOS 18 or later, or macOS 15 or later.
