What is Header Editor?
Header Editor is a lightweight Chrome (MV3) tool for developers, QA engineers, and API testers who need to tweak outgoing HTTP request headers. Create rules to set, append, or remove request headers — like an Authorization bearer token for local testing, a custom debug header, or an API version pin — and target them to specific URL patterns.
It's built on Chrome's declarativeNetRequest engine, so it modifies request headers without reading response bodies or intercepting page content. Rules are stored locally on your device, and each rule can be toggled on or off.
Free plan: up to 5 rules. Pro: unlimited rules. Available in English and Japanese.
Lightweight MV3 alternative to ModHeader / Requestly for request-header rules (request-header only — response/redirect editing is out of scope, unlike ModHeader/Requestly).
