What is HashiCorp Nomad?

Nomad is a highly available, distributed, data-center aware cluster and application scheduler designed to support the modern datacenter with support for long-running services, batch jobs, and much more. Nomad is easy to operate and scale and has native Consul and Vault integrations. It simplifies operations by supporting several deployment strategies to safely upgrade jobs, automatically handling machine failures, and providing a single workflow to deploy applications. In addition to supporting Linux, Windows, and Mac, Nomad has extensible support for containerized, virtualized, and standalone applications. Easily start Docker containers, VMs, or application runtimes like Java.
