Halite Recipes information
What is Halite Recipes?
Halite turns your recipes into a collaborative, living collection. Paste a link from a blog, Reddit, or Substack and it pulls out the ingredients, steps, servings, and a photo in seconds. Drop in a YouTube or TikTok link and it reads the transcript to recover the recipe from the video. You can also photograph a cookbook page or import an existing library from other apps, including Paprika.
• Ask in plain English. "Make it dairy-free" rewrites the ingredients, and every change saves as a version you can roll back. • Connect it to Claude and ask about or edit your whole library from inside Claude. • Drag the slider to cook for 12 instead of 4. Every quantity rescales as you drag, and stays readable: ¾ cup, not 0.75 cups. • Cook mode: big touch targets, the screen stays awake, nothing else in the way. • One grocery list for the whole menu, sorted by supermarket aisle. • Pantry that checks things off your list you keep on hand. • 11 allergens flagged automatically. • Rank your library 12 ways, including calories per gram of protein. • Runs in any browser. Installs to your home screen on iOS and Android, or your dock on Mac, Windows, and Linux. No app store.
Free during the beta, with a free tier that stays. Paid tiers for power users come later.
