Ufw is the firewall for which gufw is the interface. Saying gufw is an alternative to ufw is like saying makeup is an alternative to having a face. Nevertheless, both are excellent at what they do: ufw is a nice firewall setup for Linux and gufw makes it easy to control using point-and-click. What's not to like?
