What is grepWin?
grepWin is a simple search and replace tool which can use PCRE regular expressions to search for strings of text within files. grepWin adds an entry to the shell context menu to easily search selected folders. The use of regular expressions allows for a very powerful search and replace. You can replace all files that contain subfolders. Date, size, and file type can be specified. It can be linked to any editor.

I am very satisfied, as I won't have to open over 30 txt files one by one with Notepad2. Instead I runs through them all at once with this.

it's around 3 times faster than astrogrep, but unlike astrogrep it can't show the text, only the list of files it is contained in.

GrepWin is a powerful text search and replace tool with regular expression support.
I've tried quite a few standalone regex search and replace tools but haven't found any I like more than this one. The main plus is that it uses PCRE syntax (yay!) which, I find is easier, more powerful, more featured than other syntaxes. (Several other tools use .NET's built-in regex syntax, which is not great.) It also has a couple of bonus variables that you can use in the replacement string. You can use it to search only. This is really useful if you want to test that your replacement string will behave as expected by copying one or more of the strings from the search results into the Test regex box.
