Open source. Works just as good, if not better than Grammarly, and it's cheaper if you do opt for one of the paid plans.

  8. Typely

Typely is precise. Existing tools for improving prose raise so many false alarms that their advice cannot be trusted. Instead, the writer must carefully consider whether to accept or reject each change.

    pros, cons and recent comments

While it does everything Grammarly does for free, it's slow and a bit bulky. Some of the features it has are just for show and not functionality. It's a bit odd but with enough time can get the job done.
