What is GPS Navigator CityGuide?
CityGuide is a next-generation offline GPS navigator that offers maps from various vendors, including OSM (OpenStreetMap), HERE (NOKIA) maps, CityGuide maps, and other high-quality maps from national producers. The maps vary in price, usage conditions, and update frequency, but each comes with a description, a star rating, and a trial period. CityGuide operates offline, downloading the selected map data to your device, eliminating the need for a constant internet connection and reducing costs.
CityGuide boasts smooth operation, rapid route calculation, daily map updates, and a patented route calculation method that uses traffic information. With built-in hardware acceleration support on most devices, instant route calculation, and daily updates on road conditions, CityGuide ensures efficient navigation. The patented 'Jams-2' algorithm accounts for traffic speeds and direction while calculating routes, using statistical data when traffic data is unavailable.
CityGuide also offers dynamic Points of Interest (POI), providing voice and visual warnings of current road events, like traffic jams, accidents, and speedcams. Additional features include "Friends" and "Comments" services for tracking friends (with their permission), messaging, planning trips together, and a Walkie-Talkie service for communication. An SOS service is also available for emergency calls or breakdown assistance requests.
