I was just wondering if Google Play Protect is replaceable for Privacy and/or Security reasons... thought I'd share these articles because they came up in my research and were shocking (especially 2017 XD), not surprising, and pretty dang funny in light of Google's Play Protect claims– I wonder if it is *more* harmful for the average user than without‽‽‽ Re alternatives I had in mind, I'm wondering if Hypatia (or I believe on F-Droid exists another FOSS AV Malware scanner etc. app...). Too bad it only works in roughly 3 out of 4 cases. Most of the Android security apps evaluated in the current test are more effective.**
