What is Gonilift?

Gonilift splits any song into two tracks, the vocals and the backing track, using an AI model that runs on your own PC. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and after setup it works with no internet at all.

It is built for singing practice. Mute the singer for karaoke, or keep them quietly underneath as a guide. Change the key from -6 to +6 semitones with the voice kept natural, slow the song down without changing the pitch, and loop the line you keep missing. Every song you split stays in a searchable library, and you can export the vocal and backing tracks as WAV files.

On an NVIDIA RTX 3050 laptop a 3-minute song splits in about 40 seconds. It also runs without an NVIDIA card, more slowly. It needs Windows 10 or 11 and about 6 GB of disk space.

There are two ways to get it, and both are the same app:

  • Open Source Edition (free, MIT): download the source and run the installer. Setup takes about 5 to 15 minutes and downloads the AI model the first time you split a song.
  • Easy Edition (one-time $3.50): everything is already inside. Unzip, double-click, and it works offline from the very first split, with no installer. It includes priority email help and supports the project.
