The best alternative to Git is gitoxide, which is both free and Open Source. If that doesn't suit you, our users have ranked more than 25 alternatives to Git and three of them are so hopefully you can find a suitable replacement. Other interesting alternatives to Git are Pijul and Plastic SCM.
Pijul is a free and open source distributed version control system based on a sound theory of patches, which makes it easy to learn and use, and really distributed.
Plastic SCM is a commercial SCM system developed by Codice Software. Plastic tries to focus on big repositories, parallel development, branching and merging and security.

It is an amazing product. It has: an amazing GUI (and a separate GUI for artists), solid workflow(s), no repo size limit, amazing quality, amazing support (not that you'll need it, because the software actually works), and they took the time to design it as a system. Features don't seem to be tacked on, but instead, they all fit together well.
