What is GetColors?

GetColors is a free, web-based color tool for designers and developers. Generate color palettes, lock the colors you like, and explore harmonies. Check text and background contrast against WCAG 2.1 and APCA. Turn one brand color into light and dark UI color roles built in OKLCH, and export them to Tailwind CSS v4, shadcn/ui, CSS variables or design tokens.

It also includes chart color palettes that stay distinct for color-blind viewers, a color mixer, a converter for HEX, RGB, HSL, OKLCH, Display P3 and CMYK, a tool that reads the color palette of any website, 920 named colors with their hex codes, 600+ curated palettes, 400+ CSS gradients and the Tailwind default color palette.

No account is needed for the color tools. The website is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Japanese. AI agents can use the same tools through a free MCP server, and developers through a free REST API. An optional Pro plan adds a cloud library of up to 5,000 palettes and scoped agent access.
