What is Gboard?
Gboard is a keyboard from Google for your iOS and Android. It has all the things you would expect from a great keyboard — GIFs, emojis, and Glide Typing — plus Google Search built in. No more app switching; just search and send, right from your keyboard.
Search and send anything from Google:
• Nearby stores and restaurants • Videos and images • Weather forecasts • News and articles • Sports scores • And anything else you’d search on Google
GIFs — Search GIFs for the best reaction
Emoji Search— Find the perfect emoji, faster
Glide Typing — Type faster by sliding your finger from letter to letter

Comments and Reviews
I've been using swiftkey and swype on iOS for a while, but Gboard beats both of them hands down..
I was using Gboard, it is very good for google search integration but there is one fatal reason why i stopped using it : Keyboard Resize (Very Important for big finger like me)
It now has a keyboard resizing function.
Not privacy friendly.

Does not have swipe spacebar to change languages option
Owned by Google, so no privacy and untrustworthy
One of the most versatile keyboards.
While functionally Gboard is fine, you'll find the same functionally elsewhere without the bad parts. Gboard is not your friend, just like proprietary virtual keyboards in general aren't your friend.
1/5 stars might seem harsh, but I'd argue it's not unreasonable when you consider how little respect they have for your privacy and security. It's proprietary and depends on faith rather than trust. And that faith has been shown to be disrespected. It has unecessary bloat that doesn't do anything good for its users but only serves to benefit Google and its many partners.
So why use Gboard when OpenBoard offers the same while being debloated and open source? OpenBoard is privacy-oriented as opposed to Gboard. There are other alternatives as well that are great, however, from my testing and experience, OpenBoard is the best.
