What is FullscreenKeeper?

When you quit an app with Command-Q while it's in full screen, it often comes back as a window the next time you open it. macOS only restores full screen for apps that save their own window state, and many apps don't. FullscreenKeeper remembers which apps you quit in full screen and puts them back into full screen when they open again. If you leave full screen before quitting, the app opens as a window, the way you left it.

You can keep a list of apps it should never touch. It runs as a small background agent (about 3.4 MB of memory) that only wakes when a full-screen Space is created or closed, so switching desktops or apps doesn't wake it. It needs Accessibility access and doesn't read window titles or contents. It updates itself and only installs updates signed by the developer and notarized by Apple.
