I have been using Planet Free VPN on Windows and Android for more than a year. This service has not yet been blocked in Russia (August, 2024), which cannot be said about many other popular free VPNs I have tried.
Pros: Premium grants access to servers in almost any world country you might need. Free tier as of now has five countries. Premium lets you download OpenVPN config files. It allows paying in crypto, including Monero.
Cons: The connection sometimes gets interrupted (at least in my country). When this happens, you often have to restart the app, since it becomes impossible to reconnect. Free tier does not allow torrenting. Nor do some of the premium servers.
All in all I think that this service is not a bad choice for a casual user (at least in my country, again).
It was once the 2nd best freemium VPN in the world (after Windscribe and before Privado appeared). Nowadays it is NOT possible to work as the program is not adapted for a screen resolution of 3840x2160. The window opens very small, with hard-to-read text and awkward buttons. It is NOT possible to configure it in the «Settings» category. Apparently, there is a pause in the development of the program, the site is relevant for 2026, but the latest news on social networks dates back to 2025.
