FORScan Alternatives

    FORScan is described as 'OBD2 software scanner for Ford, Mazda, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles, designed to work over ELM327 and compatible OBD2 to RS232 interpreters'. There are eight alternatives to FORScan for a variety of platforms, including Android, iPhone, Windows, iPad and Linux. The best alternative is openOBD, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like FORScan are Torque (Freemium), OBD Auto Doctor (Freemium), DashCommand (Paid) and IT-Effects Car Diagnostic (Paid).
