Form Guardian information
What is Form Guardian?
Form Guardian runs quietly in the background and saves what you type into web forms as you go — to your browser's local storage, never to a server. If you close a tab by accident, hit Back on the trackpad, or a form clears after a failed submit, you reopen the page, click the extension icon, and your draft is back in the fields.
Unlike browser autofill, Form Guardian captures the live, in-progress content of any form as you type — so you recover the actual work you lost, not just a saved address.
Key details:
- One-click restore into the original fields — no manual lookup
- Local-only: form content stays on your device and is never uploaded
- Password fields are ignored by design
- Saved drafts auto-delete after 30 days
- Works on Chrome, Firefox, and all Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc)
- Free to use; no account required to start
