Forehead
Apple announced the new MacBook Pro yesterday, and I can't wait to receive mine next week. I saw some people complain about the notch (I like it but tastes differ), so I made a little utility that makes the menu bar black so the Notch fades away in the background.

What is Forehead?

The app takes your wallpaper and modifies it to add a black bar at the top. I'm tweaking the height of the bar still, so please send me a message on Twitter if you run into any weird bugs.
As I spent waaaayyy too much money on my new MacBook yesterday, I left the option open to pay for the app, but I will post the source code here tomorrow as well so you can compile it yourself if you want. (2:30 AM right now and I spent the last hour fixing a code signing issue, thanks Josh!)
Features
- Switch between your default wallpaper and a notchless one
- Simulate a Notch on older Macs (coming in version 1.x)
- Round the corners of your entire screen (similar to the rounded top corners on the new Macs
- Works on Big Sur and Monterey (not properly tested on Big Sur so let me know if you run into anything)
Known issues:
- For some of the default wallpapers, Forehead can't retrieve the wallpaper to modify it. Please send me a message on Twitter if you run into this.
- For dynamic wallpapers, Forehead is unable to update all the different variations of the wallpaper so it will use the default one.
