Fluxbox is a window manager for X that was based on the Blackbox 0.61.1 code. It is very light on resources and easy to handle but yet full of features to make an easy, and extremely fast, desktop experience. It is built using C++ and licensed under the MIT license.

this thing starts in 3 nano seconds.
customizability is pretty nice too. it's a little wacky but goddamn it's very much usable. if you're used to stuff like KDE thought, it's not really for you. if you like the aesthetic of tilting window managers and some retro eyecandy but you don't wanna learn god how forbid shortcut keys, this got the swag for you.
only down side is X11 only, but god do i give a shit about wayland anyway??
