What is Flutterby?
Flutterby is a free web-based chat platform that emulates the MSN Chat from the late 90s and early 2000s. It uses the IRCX protocol and operates directly within your browser, without requiring downloads or plugin installations. MSN Chat, launched by Microsoft in 1998, featured thousands of public chat rooms and a role system for chat rooms. It also used IRCX but was discontinued in the mid-2000s. Users can access Flutterby's chat services directly from their browsers at flutterby.chat, and it supports any IRC client. It also maintains a category-based room system, allowing users to host communities. In addition, it features community Groups that host a message board, photo albums, calendar, files, and a member roster. Flutterby is an independent project and is not affiliated with Microsoft.
