What is Flint - Cloud Cleaner?
Running out of disk space? Flint helps you understand exactly where your storage goes across cloud services and take back control. Flint scans your cloud storage folders and shows a clear visual breakdown of all files — what's stored locally on your Mac and what lives only in the cloud. With an interactive treemap, you can instantly spot the largest folders and files eating your disk space.
KEY FEATURES
• Interactive Treemap — visualize your entire storage structure at a glance. Click into folders to explore deeper levels.
• Smart Filtering — search by name, filter by file type (photos, videos, documents, archives, audio), size, or sync status.
• One-Click Cleanup — remove local copies of cloud files to free up disk space. Your files stay safely in the cloud and can be downloaded again anytime.
• Multiple Storages — add iCloud Drive, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or any folder on your Mac.
• Real-Time Sync Status — see which files are downloaded, cloud-only, syncing, or uploading with clear status indicators.
• Batch Operations — select multiple files and evict them all at once.
• Sorting — sort files by size, name, or sync status in ascending or descending order.
• Multilingual — available in 10 languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Ukrainian.
HOW IT WORKS
- Add your cloud storage folders (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or any folder)
- Scan to see all files and their sync status
- Browse the treemap or file list to find large local files
- Remove local copies to reclaim disk space — files remain in the cloud
Flint never deletes your files from the cloud. It only removes the local cached copies, just like Finder's "Remove Download" option — but for thousands of files at once.
Privacy: Flint works entirely on your Mac. No data is sent to any server.
