What is Ferry?

Ferry is an RSS reader that ranks stories by how many subscribed feeds cover them rather than when they arrive. Each headline shows the number of feeds carrying the story; opening that count displays the different versions. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Ferry can summarize where coverage agrees and differs on the device. A Discover view shows widely covered stories across the web by topic.

The Mac app uses a three-column layout. Feeds can be added individually or imported via OPML, or synced with FreshRSS along with read state. Ferry includes folders, iCloud-synced smart folders, Today and Later views, offline full text and images, Spotlight search, a home-screen widget, a daily summary, and sharing to services including GoodLinks, Instapaper, Readwise, Raindrop.io, Pinboard, and wallabag.
