Comments and Reviews
Easily the most user-friendly ERP suite I have ever used. ERP software is complex by definition, but ERPNext includes a universal search bar at the top of every page, which lets me locate anything I'm looking for in a few seconds.
The application is fast, even when run on an inexpensive server. I don't use most of the modules, but the Accounting module by itself is already the best free and open source accounting software I've found, and makes ERPNext worth using.
Installation on your own server is not easy, so if you're looking for a managed solution, the developer (Frappe) offers a service called Frappe Cloud that provides a managed instance of ERPNext starting at $10/month, which is a fraction of what most managed ERP solutions cost.
The REST API is incredibly buggy, the code is a mess, it's unintuitive, the documentation is lacking, the translation is bad and it is lacking lots of features. Regretting it.
It is easy. It is powerful. The documantation is great.
True Open Source without hidden payments for all features
We, tüit GmbH have now been using ERPNext since 2016 and would not want to carry on in our field without it. Let good software help you hone your business processes to concentrate on your trade instead of wasting time on "managing stuff". I recommend ERPNext to anyone who want's to take their business forward.

I tried to test the production VM today in VirtualBox with the default settings. After Startup and typing in the data in startup script (using Firefox) the progress bar stuck at approx. 1% and I git a time out. Tried it several times, but always the same.
Unusable!!
Maybe you don't have enough memory on your VM. Try adding 1 GB RAM + 1 GB Swap to start
