EasyPDM is a free, open-source product data management (PDM) system for small design teams of two to a few people. It runs on one computer in the office, under Windows, Linux or Docker. Everyone else works in a web browser, and files never leave your own machine.
Every part and assembly gets one number, assigned once, plus a revision and a status (In work → In review → Released) with full change history. Item locking stops two people from editing the same part at once. Bills of materials are built from the actual assembly structure and can be exported.
Macros for SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor and FreeCAD send a part, or a whole assembly with all its components, straight from the CAD program. They can also export STEP and PDF, and download an assembly with every component back into a folder. Drawings are matched to the parts they document by reading their views.
It also keeps a materials list, manufacturers, clients and client verification records (what was sent, what came back, against which revision). The interface is available in English, Polish and German.
