Dumka is an interactive, device-based learning tool that uses spaced repetition to aid memory retention. The software allows users to set daily goals and input information as cards, with a suggested study time of ten minutes per day. Users can create cards individually or in bulk, and include photos to enhance memory. Dumka uses active recall, where users try to remember the information before checking the answer. Users' responses are graded by swiping right for correct answers and left for incorrect ones, helping Dumka identify and focus on challenging areas.
Based on user performance, Dumka's spaced repetition system schedules the reappearance of each card, with correctly answered cards returning less frequently and missed cards reappearing the next day.
