What is DropIt?
When you need to organize files, DropIt can eliminate much of the drudgery of searching and manually opening folders and moving files around.
You can configure DropIt to perform 17 different actions on your files and folders, filtering files by name, directory, size, date, properties, content or regular expressions. You can even save sets of associations in profiles and associate a profile to each desired folder, to scan monitored folders at a defined time interval.
Drop a group of different files and folders on the floating DropIt image and it sorts them to defined destination folders, compresses or extracts them, opens them with associated programs or performs other defined actions.

Comments and Reviews
Allows for rapid file processing on certain criteria. Sure has come to use for with sorting 500 files by file-type (though, I do realize you could use windows to group them and manually do it, but eh).
It would be great to find something, that could do similar, but by file content (images, videos etc).
A really nice idea/project, but it don't support http and others web protocols (then he's useless for what I need to do).
It can be hard to use, but it's interesting, mainly if you don't want to use the "set as default app's" of windows, or want to open more than one program when opening a file… things like this…
it support some RegExp too, but only for file extensions, I tested a little but successfully opened my images with a drag and drop.
There's some interesting settings too, well I don't remember well, I keep i for now anyway.
