    Droidcam used to be a good app for using your phone (or an old phone) as webcam, but recent shitification made it a worse product. After working well for short time, it force you to give creditcard info, before you can use it again.

Only application I managed to run on Linux and connect my cell phone camera via usb

Droidcam used to be a good app for using your phone (or an old phone) as webcam, but recent shitification made it a worse product. After working well for short time, it force you to give creditcard info, before you can use it again.

It is lighter than other similar apps like IVCam. In the WiFi connection it may have latency issues, but in the direct connection via USB cable it works wonderfully, and the only app I have tried that has this feature. I wish the authors would revert to supporting older android versions again.

Not sure why it doesn't allow me to stream at full resolution. My camera/phone and system can handle it, so what's the issue?

Decent, but I often see latency issues (at least on the free version) which can be disconcerting when the audio and video don't sync up.
