    Framadate has a very similar time selection interface as Doodle but is free and open source. Additionally it can be easily translated to other languages, even smaller ones like Esperanto (proprietary software usually doesn't care about that).

    Simple to create a poll to choose a date; no need for an email address. The only improvement I could see to it is to get rid of the screen asking for more details such as a description. You don't have to fill it in, but I just want to get to the calendar.

    While both Doodle and Crab Fit serve for appointment scheduling, their time selection interfaces are quite different. I would say that Crab Fit is more intuitive for uninterrupted time blocks (even like the same time during several days), while Doodle works better when time is more discrete. Crab Fit beats Doodle as a free and open source software, and easily translatable to many languages, including smaller ones, like Esperanto.
