What is DockTail?

DockTail watches your Docker host, reads docktail.* labels on your containers and turns each one into a native Tailscale Service with its own HTTPS name on your tailnet. It proxies straight to the container's Docker network IP, so apps don't need published ports, and it updates services automatically as containers start and stop.

It supports HTTP, HTTPS with automatic Tailscale certificates, TCP and TLS-terminated TCP, optional PROXY protocol, multiple services per container, and Tailscale Funnel for public access. Unlike sidecar or proxy setups that give every app its own Tailscale device, DockTail uses Tailscale Services, so apps don't use up extra device slots.

Open source (AGPL-3.0), written in Go, runs as a single container. An optional hosted DockTail Cloud adds monitoring and alerts across hosts.
