Exactly what I was looking for! Freed up around 35gigs and none of it was music. It was very easy to find any piece of information anywhere in my system in just a few clicks.

In order to free up significant space before finding this app I had to: show hidden files, track dow the annoying 'library' files, and when deleting those files hope that some weird error didn't kick it back. Now I simply Click Click Boom goes the dynamite!

Thanks for the great App!

What is Nektony Disk Inspector?

Disk Inspector is a utility that allows you to locate "space eaters" - big files and folders saved on disks in your Mac. Do you have any finishing free space on your disk? Thinking about buying a new disk? Hold on before you do. First remove any unused stuff from your computer. Use Disk Inspector to find the biggest files on your Mac, and remove the unused files. To do that, it scans the disk file structure, and shows your files and folders on the disk in a sunburst-like diagram. Bigger items are bigger on the diagram, so it's really easy to find bigger ones. Disk Inspector allows you to scan: Hard Disk Volumes, CD and DVD disks, Flash drives, External storage disks, mounted DMG volumes, and even folders with FileVault protection! Disk Inspector has a visual scanning mode, so that you can see the results even during the scan process. There is a small progress bar on the dock icon to show the current progress. For every disk you can obtain additional information about it: if the disk is writable, bootable, the file system type, and connect protocol. For every disk item, you can use QuickLook Preview, get additional detailed information, and show the item in Finder for operating it - to delete or move unused files. For stability reasons, all hidden files are displayed as a single item in the diagram.

Features: Animated scanning process Displaying found files & folders during scan process Progress bar during scanning process Detailed volume information available Information about files QuickLook for files Copy path for the item Displaying the folders structure, skipping free space And even rotate the resulting diagram!
