Disconnect from your phone in order to reconnect with yourself, others, and the world. Start your challenge today!
Are you always on your phone? Do you live with a constant fear of missing out? Do you panic when you have no signal? It’s time for a detox. You can do this. We’re here to help.
Features: ? Limited access to your phone during the challenge ? Multiple difficulty levels with built-in accountability ? Scheduling and whitelisting capabilities ? Achievements and leader board at Play Games
This app uses the Device Administrator permission. The reason for this is to prevent to uninstall the app during a digital detox which would make the detox it ineffective.
Automation
To start detox automatically from Tasker or similar:
- broadcast
- package: com.urbandroid.ddc
- action: com.urbandroid.ddc.START_DETOX
- time_extra: number of minutes
Example: adb shell am broadcast --el time_extra 60000 -a com.urbandroid.ddc.START_DETOX

Comments and Reviews
It helped me for 852 days.
Restrictions enforced by Digital Detox app are meant to be hard to break so make short test run before comitting to using it.
I let it run all the time. I set it up to only block addictive social media apps I thought I still needed to use from time to time. Fixed block schedule with little number of 2-minute breaks worked fine.
App is rather inflexible and meant for using a yes list rather that block list, it blocks screentime with everything that's not on the list.
Downside to this method was an unwanted hurry in a very rare social situations when I needed to install and use some new app that wasn't on the yes list during my block time.
I'm deleting it today because it glitched and blocked some apps from F-Droid, notes app and my calendar app from google store. This was the first time it ever glitched and it only happened after I purged most of the system caches and data.
