DigicamFilter information
What is DigicamFilter?
DigicamFilter is a free web app that recreates retro camera aesthetics on photos you already have: the early-2000s digicam look, CCD compacts, disposable cameras, the iPhone 4, Kodak film, Polaroid instant film, Lomo and more.
It ships 15 hand-tuned presets, one for each look, plus 12 fine controls: grain, softness, contrast, saturation, warmth, tint, highlights, shadows, vignette, chromatic aberration, fade and bloom. Each look also has its own page documenting the exact slider values, so results are reproducible rather than a black box. An optional orange dot-matrix date stamp recreates the corner date that 1990s and 2000s point-and-shoots burned into every frame.
Everything is processed on your own device with WebGL (with a Canvas 2D fallback). Photos are never uploaded to a server, never stored and never seen by anyone else. Exports are generated locally in JPG or PNG at original resolution or resized for social.
Compared to the mobile camera apps in this category, it works on existing photos instead of only what you shoot inside the app, runs on any device with a browser (Android, iPhone, desktop) with nothing to install, and is free with no subscription and no watermark. HEIC files from an iPhone are supported.
