DepthGaze is a real-time camera viewer for water. You hold your phone above the surface, looking down, and the live viewfinder shows an enhanced view of what's beneath — surface glare suppressed, colour restored, subsurface contrast lifted. It is not a filter and not a post-processor; the processing runs on every frame.
Water absorbs red light first, which is why everything below the surface drifts cyan-blue. DepthGaze reverses that maths on-device and returns subjects toward their actual colours, while attenuating the white sheen of sun on calm water without crushing the rest of the highlights.
Eight modes cover different conditions: Standard, Low Light and RAW are free, alongside full-sensor capture and saving straight to your photo library. Pro adds DeGlare, Deep Boost, Edge Reveal, Spectral and Structure Map, plus Smart Mode, white-balance calibration, red synthesis, focus peaking, water masking and local contrast. Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
Built for anglers, boaters, kayakers, and anyone who looks down at water from a boat, pier, jetty or shore and wishes they could see more.
All image processing happens on the phone. Camera frames are never uploaded. No analytics SDKs, no telemetry, no ad trackers, no accounts.
DepthGaze is not a depth gauge, sonar, or measurement tool, and not a navigation or safety device. It enhances what is already visible — it does not reveal what isn't. Best in clear and lightly-tinted water.
