What is Dayside?

Dayside is an open-source Mac application with a world clock in the menu bar. It's designed for those who often communicate with people in different time zones. The software color-codes each saved location to represent the current sky color. It can display up to six clocks in the menu bar. Clicking on a clock reveals a world map showing day and night zones, which can be enlarged to full screen.

The app can identify dates, times, places, and time zones from pasted text in 16 languages. It also has a scheduling tool that finds suitable meeting times and adjusts regular meeting hours. Other features include an offline city search, Shortcuts, Spotlight and Services menu support, and dedicated pages for various functions. Dayside operates without an account, telemetry or ads, and doesn't make independent network requests.
