What is Dataescher HexEditor?
Dataescher HexEditor is an essential file editor for Windows, designed as a time-saving tool for software developers. With a user-friendly graphical interface, it simplifies the loading, editing, and saving of numerous file formats. The editor supports various Hex-encoded formats, including Intel Hex, Motorola Hex, Tektronix Hex, TI Text, Actel Hex, and binary, and it can even load program data from *.elf files. An integrated CRC tool also provides easy calculation of different CRC types for data verification.
The installer package also includes DHex, a powerful command-line tool tailored for developers and embedded engineers who handle complex data formats. DHex allows seamless manipulation of Intel, Motorola, and Tektronix Hex files, conversion between formats, extraction of program sections from ELF files, and saving data in a C-compatible format. Users can perform advanced operations like cut, copy, paste, delete, crop, and fill data, insert ASCII or hexadecimal values, reverse byte or bit orders, and calculate CRCs for sections. It offers precise control over memory regions and data transformation, making it an invaluable tool for embedded programming and large file management.

Comments and Reviews
I was looking for a light hex viewer that starts quickly when I stumbles upon this nice and sleek, extremely light weight (only 7MB) viewer.
It got customizable yet basic and intuitive UI, as well as being able to parse various data file formats - tested on the ones I have which were elf, bin, srec, hex, ti txt, tek hex, pretty much all the ones embedded folks use.
It also comes bundled with a cli that can generate hex files for testing and such.
Overall highly recommended for ease of use, nice UI and various included features, along with an adequately long trial period to try out all the features.
I developed Dataescher HexEditor to meet the exact needs I encountered as an embedded electrical engineer designing ISP solutions. If you're seeking a powerful and intuitive hex editor for your development work, I highly recommend giving it a try.
