What is CutGeek?

CutGeek removes the background from a photo on your own machine and gives it back as a transparent PNG at the original resolution.

The free web services all have the same catch: they downscale the result, stamp a watermark on it, or keep the full-size version behind a subscription or a credit system. CutGeek does none of those, and because the work happens locally the photo is never uploaded anywhere.

It can work through a whole folder of images in one run, and once installed it needs no internet connection.

No account, no advert, no bundled offer, no watermark, no credits and no telemetry. Free for personal and commercial use, open source under GPL-3.0. The .NET 8 runtime is bundled, so there is nothing to install first.
