What is CurrentProof?

CurrentProof is web based electrical calculation software for UK low voltage design to BS 7671:2018+A4:2026. It was built as a lighter, faster alternative to heavyweight packages like Trimble ProDesign, ElectricalOM and Amtech, which are accurate but come with a steep learning curve and consultancy level pricing that puts them out of reach for many smaller practices, contractors and individual engineers.

There is nothing to install and nothing to learn first. Three calculators are completely free with no registration required: Volt Drop, Maximum Demand and Load Schedule. The Pro plan adds the full Circuit calculator, covering cable sizing, current carrying capacity with all correction factors, voltage drop, earth fault loop impedance, disconnection times and fault protection, plus the Infrastructure calculator, a drag and drop single line diagram canvas for modelling a complete LV distribution network from transformer to final circuit with cumulative impedance, fault levels and voltage drop at every point.

Every calculation is validated against BS 7671 and the IET Electrical Installation Design Guide, and results export as professional PDF design reports. Calculations can be saved to projects and reloaded at any time. CurrentProof is aimed at electrical design engineers, M&E consultants and contractors who want compliant answers in minutes instead of wrestling a full desktop suite for a routine check.
