What is Corder (Mac)?

Corder is a macOS app that records your microphone and system audio as separate tracks. After a call, you can search its transcript and play the original recording to check a phrase.

The free plan includes unmetered on-device Whisper transcription on Apple Silicon. You can export transcripts as TXT, Markdown or JSON, export audio and video, and optionally record your screen. A bot does not join the call.

You can try it signed out with up to two stored recordings. A free account removes that library limit and syncs transcripts and metadata. Summaries and chapters use cloud text processing. Optional paid plans add cloud audio transcription: Pro is US$3/month and Max is US$7/month.

The macOS app's source is published under GPLv3. The hosted backend is a separate closed component. Requires an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 14.2 or later; the local speech model downloads on first use.
