What is Coquerythmo?

Coquerythmo is rythmo band software for dubbing, from fandubs to professional studios. It is free, with no locked features, and released under the GNU GPL v3.

A rythmo band scrolls the dialogue beneath the video: each word is spoken the moment it reaches the playhead. Coquerythmo lets you write the band and sync it frame by frame across four tracks. You can place lines, character labels, acting notes, breaths, reactions, walla, loops and scene changes. It also offers lip-sync detection with a palette of illustrated mouth shapes, and a karaoke mode for songs, with syllable splitting in French, English or Spanish.

A whole project fits in a single .coquerythmo file, which holds the video, the audio files, one rythmo band per language and the recorded takes. Coquerythmo imports SRT, ASS, JSON and DETX (Cappella) subtitles, creates video proxies and automatically backs up your work in progress.
