Conversion Calculator is a unit and currency converter with a calculator built into the input field. Type a sum such as 2 × 125 g, 3 + 1.5 m or €1,000 straight where the value goes, and the app shows the result in every unit of the category at once. No clearing, no second app, no copy and paste.
What you can convert
372 units across 46 categories. Weight and mass (ounces, pounds, stone, kilograms, grams, milligrams, metric tons), length and distance (miles, kilometres, yards, metres, feet, inches, centimetres, millimetres), temperature (Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin, Réaumur, Rankine), cooking volumes (cups, tablespoons, teaspoons, pints, gallons, litres), clothing and shoe sizes across countries, plus speed, area, pressure, data, energy, fuel consumption, time and angle. And 163 currencies at live exchange rates, each with its flag.
How it works
Pick a category from the icon grid, type a value or a whole calculation, and read every unit of the category at once. You choose the number of decimals, so a recipe can stay at one decimal and a price at two. The keypad works like a pocket calculator: add, subtract, multiply or divide, then read the converted result. Mark the categories you use most as favourites so they are always one tap away.
Everyday uses
In the kitchen, cups turn into grams by ingredient, and a turkey roasting calculator gives the roasting time and temperatures from the weight of the bird or the number of guests. On a trip, check your luggage weight in kg and lb before the airport scale does, and read a price abroad in your own money. At the hardware store, add up inches or centimetres directly in the field. When shopping abroad, compare clothing and shoe sizes between countries.
Works offline, no account
Every unit conversion runs on the phone, so the app answers with no signal: on a plane, in a basement kitchen or in a foreign supermarket. Currencies fall back to the last known rates while you are offline. There is no account and no sign-up.
Who it is for
Home cooks and bakers, travellers, DIY-ers and contractors, students, nurses and engineers, and anyone who keeps switching between metric and imperial.
About the app
Made in France by an independent developer and maintained since 2011. Free to download and use, with an optional Premium upgrade. The app speaks English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi and Thai. The same converter also runs free in the browser on the app's website, along with printable reference charts: oven temperatures, cake pan sizes, cabin bag sizes by airline, paper sizes and a ring sizer.
