What is Color Tabs?

Color Tabs gives every website a permanent color, so you find the right tab by recognizing it instead of reading fifty near-identical ones.

COLOR A SITE IN TWO CLICKS. Click the toolbar icon and pick one of Chrome's 9 tab colors. Choose how it shows: a colored rim on the tab itself, a colored ring around the site's icon, or all of that site's tabs collected into a named colored group.

THE COLOR BELONGS TO THE SITE. Chrome's own tab groups are manual and session-based - open the same site tomorrow and it is plain again. Here the color belongs to the website, so it comes back automatically, every time, forever.

BOOKMARKS IN COLOR. A bookmarks manager that replaces chrome://bookmarks, where every bookmark carries its site color and folders can take any of the 9 colors. Name your colors - work, travel, family, money - like calendar categories. Drag and drop to reorder, add bookmarks and folders inline, and search instantly across thousands of them.

THE COLOR BAR. An optional replacement bookmarks strip with the same design as Chrome's own, but carrying your colors: rings around icons, painted folders, native-style menus.
