Collax V-Bien

Collax V-Bien is an integrated package for virtualization and high availability. It is tailored to the requirements of small and medium-sized businesses, branch offices, group practices and freelancers.

Collax V-Bien consists of two identical units. When a failure occurs, it is intercepted and all servers are kept up and running. Thanks to the patented Collax Fencing Device, the availability of the servers can be maintained even in the event of a sudden failure of one unit. It also prevents split brain and death match scenarios. In many cases hardware failures are predicted with a technology called Proactive HA. All cases where a hardware failure becomes apparent in advance, the affected VMs are evacuated the other node.

Collax V-Bien combines all the required components in a single solution and is administered like a single server. An external SAN is not required. Since the user interface can be operated via a browser, all settings can be made remotely. Features like backup, live migration, remote management, remote consoles to VMs are integrated.

Collax V-Bien uses KVM-based virtualization technology to achieve the high availability of any company server. This allows you to additionally benefit from all the advantages of virtualization.

The optional module (Collax V-Transfer) allows copying VMs between Collax V-Bien clusters building interconnected environments.

A centralized management console (Collax Central) supports the administration of larger implementations of several clusters and all VMs (Windows/Linux).
