CloudaIDE framework is a RAD tool to easily create Web applications with functionality similar to Oracle Apex, Oracle Forms, and Microsoft Access.The programmer creates an application on his/her desktop and. The framework itself translates the design into three layer architecture, ready for deployment on a J2EE servlet container like Tomcat.

The programmer can use screen creation wizards. The wizards help to instantly create layouts from database table definitions. Immediately after pointing on a database table, a screen layout is created with initial CRUD functionality (including Query by Example mechanism). The screen can be then enhanced/edited. The programmer can change the layout and add code to assure necessary functionality. The programmer can use simple language similar to database stored procedure languages to implement communication with the user and the database. He/she is isolated from AJAX complexities. He/she can also use Java and Javascript to implement sophisticated functionality.
