Surprisingly good web-based and java circuit simulator. It is quite basic but very easy to work with and does the job!

Great for simple circuit educational purposes, but large projects where you want to simulate entire power systems are impossible.

For example, if you want to simulate a switched mode power supply, you are SOL. However, if you just want a simple system which gives you a live view on your circuits, this is a good choice for a browser-based simulator.

Simple and powerful. Very easy to learn and relatively easy to use (could be better). Suited for discovering and learning electronics but also for real simple circuit prototyping. Tons of awesome examples. Free and open source!
