UPDATE - v0.2 (June242018) : The previous known issue of not able to paste in rich text boxes is fixed in the latest code. It should work on "MOST IF NOT ALL" rich text box style websites. Tested in gmail, AOL, Twitter, Tumblr successfully:)

Key features include:

  • Insert clipping text quickly and easily from the context menu
  • Save new clippings from selected text from the context menu
  • Create new custom clippings by highlighting text in the page and clicking the icon on the toolbar
  • Create entirely self-authored clippings from the 'add clippings' interface you can see by clicking the toolbar icon
  • Edit saved clippings
  • Create and rename folders
  • Move clippings into, between and out of folders
  • Insert clippings with keyboard shortcuts
  • Include placeholders in clippings
  • Import clippings from Firefox extension
  • Share clippings with other Chrome users

** Importing from Firefox **

  • Make sure your Clippings extension for Firefox is up to date
  • Export the 'Clippings file' from the Clippings extension for Firefox (the default export option for the up to date extension)
  • Open the .rdf file which you have exported in Notepad/TextEdit/a text editor of your choice
  • Copy and paste the entire file into the 'Import from Firefox' box in the Chrome Clipper extension
