What is chimping.io?

chimping.io is a post-production workspace for filmmakers, editors and small studios that combines client video review, project folder sync, large-file transfer and master delivery under one flat monthly subscription, with no per-seat charges.

Clients receive a private review link where they can watch cuts, leave frame-accurate timecoded comments and approve assets without creating an account or installing anything. Reviews are automatically transcribed with searchable captions, and a DaVinci Resolve companion app can upload cuts from the timeline and bring client notes back as timeline markers. It can also build AI rough cuts from interview transcripts and includes a migration tool for moving projects, assets and comments over from Frame.io.

The Mac app provides Project Sync, which keeps a project folder up to date across a team's machines in both directions, and transfers large files in parallel chunks with automatic resume and preserved folder structure. Send and receive links let collaborators exchange files without an account, and master delivery links can be password-protected and stay available for the life of the project. Plans are Solo, Studio and Pro, with a three-day free trial.
