What is ChillSemester?

ChillSemester helps CUNY students plan registration week. It covers all 26 CUNY colleges.

You can browse classes by college, subject and professor with live open and closed seat status from CUNY's public class search. Each professor's Rate My Professors rating, difficulty and would-take-again score are boiled down to a simple 1 to 5 Chill Rank, with credit and a link back to the professor's page.

The schedule builder only uses classes that still have open seats and shows the options as mini weekly timetables you can flip through, with the professor and rating for every class. Students can set a reminder for their registration date, and the app emails them as it approaches and flags classes that filled. A public page lists each college's Spring 2027 registration date with its source.

Seat-open email alerts, saved schedules and the degree-audit tools are part of paid passes; browsing and the schedule builder are free. Built by a Baruch student.
